To explore Spiti, a slow pace is ideal, and this 15-day cycling adventure is the best way to soak in the mesmerising views of Spiti and Kinnaur. Cycle in the heart of Spiti - an arid Trans-Himalayan kingdom nestled between Tibet and Ladakh, and immerse yourself in the unique confluence of the Tibetan, Buddhist, and Hindu cultures of this region. The destination offers fantastic views, but it’s the journey through the rugged mountains and dry deserts of Spiti to the picturesque and lush greens of Kinnaur, that make this tour one to remember for a lifetime.
Please Note: This cycling tour is challenging and not recommended for beginners.
1Arrive at Chandigarh and drive to Thanedar. Rest, acclimatise and explore local sights.
2Cycle from Thanedar to the lowest altitude altitude of this journey at Sarahan.
3Cycle from Sarahan to Batseri (Sangla) and enter the Kinnaur region.
4Stay at Sangla and acclimatise by cycling to Chitkul.
5Cycle from Batseri to Pooh.
6Cycle from Pooh to Tabo experiencing the longest ascent of the tour and enter the high altitude region of Spiti.
7Cycle through the Martian landscapes from Tabo to Mudh with an excursion to Dhankar. Stay at Mudh for the night.
8-9Drive from Mudh to Attargu. Cycle through the high altitude village circuit covering Hikkim, Komic and Langza.
10-11Cycle from Langza to Chicham via the most-photographed region—Ki.
12Cycle from Chicham to the highest point of your tour at Kunzum La. End the journey at Chandratal Lake.
13Drive from Chandratal to Kullu.
