Explore the geological wonders of Charyn Canyon, stroll around Saty's serene lakes, and venture to the highest winter sports complex in the world at Medeo gorge. The journey concludes with a flavored coffee at the top, offering breathtaking views of Almaty.
Itinerary
1Arrive at Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, and enjoy a folklore program during dinner.
2Drive from Bishek to Karakol city along the southern shore of Issyk-Kul Lake, the second-largest mountainous lake in the world. On the way, experience Yurt production in the village Kyzyl-Tuu, Eagle hunting, and Jety-Oguz gorge.
3Visit the Karakol National Park for a guided walk or take a ride on the ski lifts to the summit, with breathtaking views of Issyk-Kul Valley and the town of Karakol. Alternatively, enjoy a full day of skiing on high-altitude slopes.
4Drive to Chon Kenmin from Karakol. On the way, we might stop and approach the lake. Later visit the Museum of Nomad Civilization. Alternatively, visit the “Keremet Suu” hot spring.
5Drive from Chon Kemin to Almaty, crossing the Kyrgyz-Kazakh border at Kordai.
6Drive from Almaty to Saty. On the way visit Charyn canyon and witness the rocks characterized by different stratifications, the oldest of which date back to about 12 million years ago. The canyon is known for its Valley of Castles. Later, visit the Kol-Sai lake.
7Explore Almaty. Visit Medeo gorge, the highest mountain complex for winter sports in the world! Walk to the top of Medeo damp with a great viewpoint. Optionally excursion by cable car up to the gorge.
8Drive to the airport for departure.
