1Reach Guwahati Airport. Explore temples if time permits, followed by a sunset cruise on the Brahmaputra River.
2Drive to reach Cherrapunjee and enjoy a leisurely evening.
3Explore Cherrapunjee's lush landscapes and trek to the Living Roots Double Decker Bridge. Witness the stunning Nohkalikai and Nohsngithiang Falls or go to the Arwah Lumshynna Caves.
4Drive to Mawlynnong Village - the cleanest village in Asia! See the Living Root Bridge at the nearby Riwai Village followed by a drive to the pristine Dawki river. Leave for Shillong.
5 Explore Shillong - the Scotland of India. Visit Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Wei Laplam Falls, Wir Phang Falls, DBCIC Museum, and Ward’s Lake.
6 Drive to the beautiful wildernesses of Kaziranga National Park. Enroute, stop at the grand Umiam Lake.
7 Explore Kaziranga. Enjoy an early morning Elephant Safari followed by a Jeep Safari.
8 Set off for Nagaland and reach Kohima by early evening.
9Explore Kohima. Visit the WW II cemetery, the Kisama Heritage Village, and the beautiful Khonoma Village. Please note: the Hornbill Festival is celebrated each year from 1-10 December.
10 Drive back to Assam and reach Jorhat. Overnight stay in a Heritage Tea Bungalow.
11Drive to Neematighat and board a ferry boat to Majuli - the largest inhabited river island in the world, famous for its Vaishnavite Satras, monasteries, and tribal culture.
12 Drive to Dibrugarh. Enroute visit Dhekiakhowa Bornaamghor at Teok and the monuments and temples at Sivasagar. Reach Dibrugarh and stay in a Heritage Chang Bungalow.
13 Enjoy a walk in the nearby tea plantations. Drive to Namphake - a beautiful ‘Tai’ village situated on the banks of the river Buridihing in Upper Assam and see the traditional houses built on stilts made of bamboo. Drive to Digboi, the first oil town in South Asia. See the Oil Museum, the 2nd WW cemetery & the Centenary Park.
