A humbling experience that makes you slow down and appreciate the wonders of nature
Lahaul, a rich and diverse region of Himachal Pradesh, hides within it the beautiful Pattan, Pangi, and Miyar Valleys, across the Rohtang Pass. Connected to Chamba via Sach Pass on one side, and the Manali – Leh highway on the other, this trail is hidden from most travellers, who just catch a glimpse of it as they proceed from Manali to Leh via Jispa. For those willing to take the detour, Miyar Valley offers natural beauty and diversity in abundance. Connected to Zanskar by the ancient trekking route over Kang La (5,468 m), this trail along the winding Miyar Nala is slow with a gentle gradient and lined with mountain valleys, remote villages, and flower beds; rewarding us with some of the most pristine campsites, bouldering fields, and clear emerald lakes.
