Malaysia Travel Guide: Tips for the Ultimate Itinerary

The Lamkhaga Pass trek is a journey of contrasts—lush green valleys give way to snow-draped landscapes, roaring streams serenade your path, and every step feels like an ode to the Himalayas. This September, we were lucky to experience it all over again with an amazing group of trekkers—Anshuman, Happy, Manish, Rahoul, and Samir.

Our adventure began in the vibrant Baspa Valley, where autumn leaves painted the trails in hues of gold and green. The crisp mountain air carried the promise of the challenges ahead, but the enthusiasm of our group was infectious. With every step, the landscape shifted. The greenery of the valley gave way to the pristine white of the Garhwal Himalayas, each bend in the trail revealing a view more breathtaking than the last.

The sunsets here were something else entirely—fiery oranges and soft pinks reflected off the peaks, creating moments that felt too beautiful to be real. Roaring streams of icy-cold water carved through the mountains, their sound a constant companion as we made our way higher.

Lamkhaga Pass is a challenge. And our spirited group took it all in their stride. There were moments of triumph when we scaled steep inclines and moments of quiet camaraderie at the campsites, sipping hot chai as the sun dipped below the horizon.

We celebrated the little victories—crossing a tricky patch of snow, catching the first glimpse of the summit, and sharing a laugh over a well-earned meal. Each day brought us closer, not just to the mountains, but to one another.
