Itinerary
1Arrive at Chandigarh & drive to Banjara Orchard Retreat at Thanedar via Kufri & Narkanda.
2Drive to Banjara Valley Retreat at Sangla. En route, take a detour to Sarahan; see the Bhimakali Temple and Srikhand Mahadev Peak.
3Explore Sangla Valley, drive to Chitkul - the last Indian settlement before the Tibet border. Visit, visit a traditional temple, visit Rakcham village, and see Nagasthi - the border outpost.
4Head towards Spiti and see a transformation from evergreen mountainside to stark cold desert. Visit Nako, Giu, and Tabo on the way.
5Head deeper into Spiti towards Kaza – the biggest settlement in Spiti. Explore the ancient and new monasteries of Dhankar and Kaza.
6Visit the high-altitude villages of Hikkim and Komic, and reach our homestay in Langza. Explore the village, experience the iconic outdoor Buddha Statue, and stroll around Fossil Park.
7Drive to the gompa in Key and proceed to Kibber, visit Asia’s highest suspension bridge, and reach the neighbouring high-altitude village of Chicham. Do a cave hike to see petroglyphs.
8Visit the village of Losar and drive through Kunzum La to enter Lahaul. Around Batal, take a detour to visit Chandratal – a turquoise-hued alpine lake.
9Go past Sissu, Tandi, & Keylong to reach our mountain lodge in Gemoor – an estate located near the Bhaga river, just 3 km short of Jispa.
10 Head back towards Sissu and enter the Atal Tunnel; emerge in Solang Valley and carry on past Manali to reach our mountain lodge in Kullu.
