1 Reach Paro Airport by mid-morning. Drive to Thimphu and visit the glorious Tashicho Dzong, the Bhutan Post Office HQ, and the Buddha Dordenma-a majestic statue of the Buddha atop a hill in Kuenselphodrang Nature Park.
2Explore Thimpu. Visit the vibrant farmers market by the riverside, the Handmade Paper Mill, School of Arts and Crafts, Memorial Chorten for the late 3rd King, the Bhutan Takin (national animal) Preserve, Changangkha Lhakhang the oldest temple in the valley, and Zilukha Nunnery.
3Drive up to Dochu La (3010 metres) and enjoy spectacular 180-degree views of several Bhutanese Himalayan ranges & peaks as well as the 108 memorial chortens. Descend into the sub-tropical Punakha region and proceed for a lovely hike to the Khansum Yulley Chorten. Later visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong and enjoy a walk across the spectacular Changyul Suspension bridge on the Mochu river.
4 Do a short hike to Chimi Lhakhang - the temple of fertility associated with the religious art of the phallus. Later visit the National Museum. From here walk to the 17 century Paro Dzong (Fortress) and continue walking through the oldest wooden bridge still in use.
5 Explore Paro. Enjoy a hike to Tiger's Nest. Later, enjoy a local farmhouse experience: lunch, archery, and a hot stone bath.
6Drive up to Chele La-one of the highest motorable passes in Bhutan. Enjoy exemplary views and drive across into the serene and pristine valley of Haa! Drive back to Paro: walk around in Old Paro Town and enjoy shopping.
