Trek to Phuktal Gompa, a breathtakingly beautiful monastery perched on a cliffside, also considered as one of the remotest monasteries of the Indian Himalayas. We soak in the stunning views and learn about the history and significance of this sacred site before continuing our adventure to Padum— the administrative capital of the Zanskar region. With ancient monasteries and temples dotting the landscape in Padum, you get a chance to immerse yourself in the local culture and experience the charm of this unique destination, where history and natural beauty come together in perfect harmony.
Itinerary
1 Arrive In Kullu. Rest and explore local spots.
2 Drive from Manali to Gemur Via Atal Tunnel. Rest and acclimatise or go for an evening stroll to the riverside.
3Acclimatise at Gemur. Go for local walks or enjoy a drive till Baralacha La Pass.
4Drive from Gemur to Purne via Shinku La. Enjoy a picnic lunch at Gombo Ranjan.
5Hike from Purne to Phuktal and back to Purne followed by a drive to Padum.
6Drive from Padum To Lamayuru crossing Wanla, Singe La And Sirsir La.
7Drive from Lamayuru To Kargil.
8Drive from Kargil to Srinagar.
9Srinagar to your respective destination.
