Tucked in apple and pear orchards, with the Beas river flowing below, Roots Stay is located just 600 m off the Kullu-Manali highway. The orchard is the labour of love of Mr Balak Ram Thakur, who bought it from the descendants of a British family which settled here in 1860’s. With a selection of regional cuisine from across the country, a picturesque bistro setting, and contemporary and comfortable sun-lit rooms, this stay offers more than just stunning views of the high Himalayas.

Mornings in Kullu

Go for a scenic drive to the picturesque Parvati Valley, where you can visit the charming Kasol Village and relax in the soothing hot springs of Manikaran. For the more adventurous, you can even continue your journey all the way up to the quaint village of Tosh. If you want a spiritual experience, then a one-day excursion to the mesmerizing temple of Bijli Mahadev is awaiting. Hop on a 4x4 vehicle and navigate the offbeat trail to this spectacular spot, enjoying sweeping views of the Kullu valleys along the way.
