Starting at the serene Chandratal Lake, known as the "Moon Lake," you’ll weave through stark landscapes, glacial valleys, and rough terrains. Along the way, you’ll be treated to breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, pristine streams, and expansive meadows. The trek culminates at Baralacha La Pass, perched at an elevation of 4,890 meters, where a panoramic vista of the surrounding mountains awaits. This challenging trek is perfect for you if you seek solitude and the raw beauty of the Himalayas.
Please Note: This trek requires a certain level of fitness, not recommended for absolute beginners.
1Arrive in Kullu and unwind at Roots Kullu or a comparable accommodation, where you can relax and immerse yourself in the serene beauty of the region.
2Drive to Chhota Dhara and settle in for the night at a cozy camp, surrounded by the tranquil beauty of nature.
3Drive to the Chandratal trailhead, where your trekking adventure begins. Spend the night in a comfortable camp, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere under a starry sky.
4Trek to Tokpo Gongma. Settle in for the night at a cozy camp.
5Trek to Tokpo Yongma. Night stay in camp.
6 Trek to Baralacha La, where breathtaking views and majestic mountain scenery await. As you make your way to the pass, take in the stunning landscapes that define this high-altitude journey. After conquering the heights of Baralacha La, drive back to Kullu. Enjoy a restful night at Roots Kullu or a similar welcoming accommodation.
7Today is the last morning. We bid goodbye to the team and the fellow trekkers as we head to our respective destinations.
