Sandwiched between Ladakh and Kashmir, this route is unknown to even the locals of Kashmir
The Warwan Trek is one of the eight ancient Trans-Himalayan routes that connect the Ladakh Himalayas (Suru Valley) to the Kashmir Himalayas. Historically known as the salt route, this path has been traversed by Trans-Himalayan traders from Kashmir and Ladakh for centuries. What sets this trek apart is its unique blend of adventure and breathtaking landscapes. It offers trekkers a rare chance to experience both the stark beauty of Ladakh and the lush greenery of Kashmir. A standout feature of this journey is the exhilarating 9-kilometer glacier traverse while crossing the Lomvilad Pass, marking your descent from the higher Himalayas into the lower ranges. This trek promises not only stunning vistas but also a rich connection to the region's history and natural wonders.
