Itinerary
1Morning flight from Tokyo to Hokkaido. Enjoy the natural beauty as we transfer to Kushiro Marsh by chartered car for a canoe cruise. Watch the beautiful sunset at Hosooaka Observatory.
2Morning: Chartered car to Lake Akan, guided forest walk with Ainu guide learning about their connection to nature. Afternoon: Relaxing sightseeing cruise on Lake Akan, followed by free time in the lakeside hot spring town with souvenir shopping. Evening: Special course dinner at a local izakaya.
3Hike active volcano Mt. Meakan (1500m) for steaming craters & panoramic views. Relax in Lake Akan's famed onsen and enjoy a buffet dinner with Ainu cultural dance!
4Explore volcanic wonders near Lake Akan! Hike Kussharo forest, witness Mt. Io's activity, dig your own foot bath at Suna-yu, and soak in a relaxing acidic hot spring!
5 Canoe Kushiro River's pristine waters at dawn! Witness Ezo deer & idyllic landscapes. Savor lunch at a scenic hillside auberge before your flight to Tokyo and bullet train to Kyoto!
6Start our Kyoto trip at Ine! Visit the traditional boat house village on e-bike. In Amanohashidate, savour local food, ascend the observatory for breathtaking views, and explore a unique beach on a narrow island.
7Kyoto classics tour! Dive into Kyoto's rich history with a private tour visiting Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine, Kinkaku-ji Temple, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, and Arashiyama. Take the bullet train back to Tokyo.
